How to Write Activtiy Descriptions

  • Google Meet (link sent via RSVP confirmation) (map)

The activities list is one of the most overlooked parts of the college application. With only a few words per entry, strong descriptions turn a plain list of memberships into clear evidence of leadership, initiative, and real impact.

In this workshop, we'll cover:

  • How the Google Resume XYZ formula structures a powerful, concise description

  • How to prioritize which activities deserve the most space and attention

  • How to frame your involvement so readers immediately see your specific role

  • How to quantify your impact with concrete numbers and outcomes

  • Common mistakes that make strong activities read as weak

RSVP below. Google Meet link will be emailed to you shortly before the presentation begins. Add the Event to your Google Calendar by clicking the Google Calendar button to your left.
