UC Application Workshop

The UC Application rewards students who understand how it's read. With no recommendation letters and no interviews, the application itself does all the talking: your activities, your award entries, your comments sections, and your answers to every question in between. This workshop covers the full application from start to submission, with particular focus on the sections where strong students most often leave points on the table.

In this workshop, we'll cover:

  • How the UC Application differs from the Common App and why that changes your strategy

  • Making the most of all twenty activity and award slots, including categories students overlook

  • Writing activity descriptions that show scope and impact within tight character limits

  • When and how to use the two additional comments sections, and when to leave them blank

  • Navigating the academic history, scholarship, and program-specific questions accurately

  • How one application is read across multiple campuses and what that means for maximizing your options
