Most students don't struggle because the material is too hard. They struggle because the semester got away from them: assignments stacked up, test dates arrived early, and studying happened the night before instead of the week before. This workshop is a working session. Students map out their actual semester, set specific study goals, and learn habits that hold up when the schedule gets heavy.
In this workshop, we'll cover:
How to plan a semester backward from major deadlines, tests, and commitments
Building a weekly schedule that balances academics, activities, and actual rest
Study techniques that work: spaced repetition, active recall, and why rereading notes doesn't
Managing procrastination and distraction, including realistic strategies for phones
Creating your personalized semester calendar during the session
Your take-home toolkit: a concrete set of study goals and a curated academic resource list
