Kelli Kent
ABOUT:
As a proud Native Texan and graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Kelli brings more than a decade of personalized experience in education, college, and career counseling. She has specialized in First-Generation college admissions, prestigious scholarship applications, and competitive summer programs. Kelli’s mentorship has resulted in acceptances to leading programs like QuestBridge, LEDA, Jack Cooke Kent, Dell Scholars, Wharton Global Summer Programs, and Thrive Scholars.
For Kelli, the college counseling process is about supporting students to create courageous, choice-filled lives. She is passionate about helping students tackle the complexities of the application process, focusing on building confidence in their ability to navigate uncertainty in an ever-changing world. Her ultimate commitment is to empower every student to become more confident, creative, and courageous as they make life-changing decisions that define their future.
As a college counselor, she has guided more than 500 students from diverse backgrounds, including 9 QuestBridge Finalists, 6 QuestBridge National Match Scholars, and a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar. Her students have gone on to attend a wide range of selective institutions, both public and private, including Stanford, Columbia, Yale, Duke, UPenn, Vanderbilt, Emory, UT-Austin, Babson, Tufts, Boston University, and Bowdoin. She believes that every student, regardless of their academic profile, experiences, and challenges, can find the right college to meet their goals. The best college is the one that serves each student's unique needs, talents, and goals.
When she's not supporting students, you can find Kelli enjoying life in Central Texas: working out, swimming at Barton Springs, or hunting for the city’s next great coffee shop with friends. She also spends time embracing her loyal Longhorn spirit (despite a chronic inability to recall the rules of football) and, most importantly, trying diligently to impress her niece.
